Ok, so then I think the problem it is really because you have updated that plugin. Using P&E is not affected by that updated, but Segger J-Link for sure is, and it seems that it affects as well OpenOCD.

In case you need to use OpenOCD or J-Link, then you have to apply the patch from Unable to Debug after KDS Update .

Could it be that you have updated the GNU ARM Eclipse plugins?

This is what I have and is working for me:

Note that there had been a GNU ARM Eclipse update which breaks at least the segger J-link debugging (I had not observed that it breaks OpenOCD).

Have a look at Unable to Debug after KDS Update  which as well includes the patch/workaround.

Can you apply that patch and check if this helps?
