Update of Kinetis Design Studio fails

Hi

I am trying to update a freshly installed Kinetis Design Studio 3.0.0 using Eclipse' built-in "Check for Updates" functionality. This currently fails with the following error:

Unable to read repository at http://freescale.com/lgfiles/updates/Eclipse/KDS/content.xml.
sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

When I open the page (http://freescale.com/lgfiles/updates/Eclipse/KDS/content.xml) in the browser, I get a 404 (page not found) error.

According to https://community.nxp.com/message/547748?commentID=547748#comment-547748?q=update%20site the update site is correct.

Is there an issue on the server side or has the update site been changed?

Looking forward for your answer.

Thank you very much.

Roman

Hello Roman,

It is too old the update site you mentioned .

I recommend you use the latest KDS version KDSv3.2 : you can download it from here :

https://www.nxp.com/products/wireless-connectivity/zigbee/kinetis-design-studio-integrated-developme...

And if you really want to use KDSv3.0, about the update ,you can choose the "--All Available Sites--",

then it list the patch need to update :

BTW, these update site can't open by browser.

Have a great day,
TIC

Hi TIC

Thank you very much for your response.

The toolchain has been fixed in this project. Nevertheless, we had the required updates also locally and therefore, no action was needed anymore.

Regards,

Roman
