KDS v3.0.0 Environment Setup

To whom it may concern:

I downloaded and installed the following:

"Kinetis Design Studio installer for Microsoft Windows 3.0.0.exe"

"PEx_for_Kinetis_3.0.1.zip"

However, I have no idea what to do with:

"KDS v3.0.0 Source Files Package.zip"

Hi Brad,

The open source policy requires that any changes of the base sources used shall be published. So if you want to rebuild the open source parts of KDS on your own, then you need these files. Otherwise, if you don't plan to build your own toolchain, it is not needed.

Hello Bradley,

About use KDS on Windows , do not need care about this "KDS v3.0.0 Source Files Package.zip" .

And after you install KDS 3.0, i recommend you install KSDK1.3 , for some chips  driver are supported on the KDSK1.3，

and about how to install it in KDS,  please refer to the DOC of "KDS_Users_Guide.pdf"(under the installation directory of KDS : Freescale\KDS_3.0.0\doc)
