How to install on linux mint.

How do I install the kinitus design package on linux. I have used "sudo dpkg -i kinetis-design-studio_3.0.0-1_amd64.deb" with a linux mint install. But I get this error "dpkg: error processing archive kinetis-design-studio_3.0.0-1_amd64.deb (--install):  cannot access archive: No such file or directory Errors were encountered while processing:  kinetis-design-studio_3.0.0-1_amd64.deb".

Any help would be great thanks.

Hello,

what version of Mint do you use? I tried version  17.2 Cinnamon 64-bit in virtual box and was not able to reproduce it. Also, can you please check MD5 sum of your download (e.g. run md5sum) - it should be a80befb70f813da9591d446aef92e431.

Hi thanks for your replay Lukas.

I actually managed to install it. It was a  simple mistake for some reason the downloaded kinetis file has a different  file name than in the install help file.

I don’t know why I didn’t spot it before. I just renamed the downloaded file to  match the name in the help file and it installed without any problem.
