Designing a Custom Slider

Using GUI-Guider v1.9.1, I'm trying to create my own slider. I've easily added the desirable background image but I want to add a different knob to it as my customer desires. I'm just getting a square that only just exceeds the boundaries of the slider when I'm trying to use an image that is a long thin rectangle.

I must be missing something obvious but the only size I can see controls the main element even when the knob is selected on the 'Parts and State' section.

Any assistance greatly appreciated

So, I can see plenty of people have looked at this post but not answered which makes me think it could be a common issue. I’ve done a workaround which keeps me going for now.

Instead of a long thin rectangle, I’ve produce a square that is transparent with the same rectangle in the centre. I’ve then made a slider that is completely transparent apart from the square knob. Underneath this slider I’ve then added an image which is my colour band. This works exactly how I’d like but I’m sure there must be a cleaner solution?
