How to use FreeMASTER with CAN

I want to use FreeMaster with CAN in S12Z ssries MCU.And my CAN Tools is Vector VN1640A.

When I had initialize my mcu's peripherals,such as CPMU,SCI,CAN,etc. I try to connect the FreeMASTER with CAN TOOLs,but the connect is error.And I don't know where the error is.Is there somone can tell me?

can you please use a Vector tool to test if the CAN card actually works well? The error you get says the FreeMASTER could not even open the CAN channel – are you sure the CAN channel is not open in another application?

Hello, 

the Vector library has not been updated with the release of FreeMASTER 3.0 and it is still based on older Vector VCAND driver which does not support the new devices.

Please try to select the Vector XL interface in the drop down list when configuring the FreeMASTER-over-CAN plugin. The XL library included is also not the latest version, but it may work better with your device.
