using an 8-bit LCD with the MCF52230

Has anyone succefully used an 8-bit LCD with the MCF52230?

If so, do you have any tips, tricks or code examples you would be willing to share?

Note that there is an online demo of LCD control at

It can be seen by web cam at WEB CAM

At the control link there is also a stand-alone LCD (and key board) simulator which can be downloaded (called VIPpanel). This is not M52230 specific but does enable control of a web-based LCD as well as practical testing of all LCD functionality - full documentation is included in the simulator.

It includes LCD support, including an LCD simulator.
