externam flash by MCF5329

If i want programming in ciruet. the mfc5329 has to less memory. so i ndeed externel also. if i programming the MCF5329 over JTEC or other method does it use outomaticaly the external flash if the internal flash is full??

Or waht can i do or what shall i do?

Hi Ralf,

I'm pleased to hear that you are using the MCF5329. This device is a V3-core ColdFire part, with onchip USB and LCD controller.

MCF5329 has no internal flash memory, just on-chip RAM and cache. The evaluation board for the device is sold through Freescale but comes from LogicPD www.logicpd.com where you will find the schematics. These boards have 2MByte boot flash and some come with a further 16MB of flash. Normally, you'll run the application from external RAM.

The CFFlasher tool and Flash Programmer inside CodeWarrior have configuration files for the M5329EVB, so yes, they can program this external flash.
