VSTBY pin, when not used

Hello,

I have a question regarding VSTBY pin of M5221x.
When we do not wish to use the standby power feature (i mean no battery on printed circuit board), i do not understand where to connect this pin.

Shall i connect it to 3,3V ?

After a Google research, i found this text in another PDF file (Freescale MPC5565 Microcontroller Data Sheet): "If standby operation is not required, VSTBY can be connected to ground"

So i think there is a good chance it is the same with the M5221x (?)

Could you please tell my if my above question is dummy, or do the M5221x users always include the battery for VSTBY in their production pcb ?

After more research, i found another Freescaler processor PDF file which says: "If standby operation is not required, connect VSTBY  to ground". It is the MPC5554 data sheet.
I will do the same with the M5221x.
