Using TBLCF to unsecure CF device

The TBLCF contains functions to read/write the target device through the JTAG TAP.  However, I can't seem to find any app notes or examples of how to use the TBLCF to unsecure a secured CF device.

Can any one point me to an app note or example.  To begin with, I am trying to unsecure the MCF5213.

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

"A secured CFM can be unsecured by mass erasing the flash memory via a sequence of JTAG commands, as specified in the system level security documentation followed by a reset of the MCU."

This quote (from the user manuals) is probably well known to yourself - however I don't know what is being referred to by system level security documentation.

If you don't absolutley have to do it via JTAG it is quite easy to do it via EzPort (see other EzPort topics for SW which will basically allow this).

You are correct in that I am fully aware of the statement to which you refer.  My personal thought is that including that statement into the RM's is a waste of paper and ink in that the statement is totally useless.

My ranting aside, I am forced to erase flash using the JTAG connection.  Any help or guidance is welcome and appreciated.
