MCF52259 and uTasker supported by CodeWarrior

My product has a MCF52259 running uTasker.

1. Does CodeWarrior support MCF52259 with uTasker?

2. If so, where can I dwonload user guide to

    build package of MCF52259 with uTasker

    flash its image to MCF52259 with uTasker

    debug this image against MCF52259 using CodeWarrior

Hi,

Answer to your questions, CodeWarrior do NOT support MCF52259 with uTasker itself officially. And yes, we know that some of customer really run uTasker under CodeWarrior. However, this is not supported by NXP officially. You may would like to have a look at uTasker forum to find if any experience.

The uTasker project can be used with most IDEs and includes CodeWarrior projects for the M52259 (both CW7 and the eclipse based CW10).

However the Coldfires are legacy devices and so are little used today. Nevertheless, the uTasker project still supports legacy processors (even the NE64 from about 2004!!) so that mature products can still be maintained but also so that these applications can be very easily (and cheaply) be moved to newer processors (in particular the Kinetis family).

I have attached a 2 minute video showing how the uTasker project can run on both a M52259 (or other Coldfires) or Kinetis parts just be modifying the target processor selection. This illustrates how highly HW independent the environment is to application developers who's older Coldfire applications can run almost immediately on Kinetis replacements (only a few adjustments are needed and no expensive porting, or long learning curves for new parts and environments).
