HelP With Simulator

I am trying to use the simulator on the cold fire V1 Series.  My issue is I can see my code and I can see the memory but I cant see any of the I/O and peripherlas that are supposedly supported in the FCS.  HOw can I view edit registers and peripherla values once in the simulator

I assume you are using CodeWarrior for MCU V6.x. Am I right?

You need to open the MCURegisters window to be abel to see peripheral registers.

This is done as follows:

  - In HI-WAVE menu select "Components" -> "Open"

  - In the "Open Window Component" dialog select "mcuregisters and click on OK.

The MCUregisters window is opened.

Just expand the MCU and then the Memory Mapped Registers group to see all available peripherals.

Thanks.  THis worked when I set the target to the evaulation board and turned the mode to updating.   It doesnt seem to work on the silicon simulator though. Any ideas

I did try on my local CodeWarrior for MCU V6.2 and it works well.

If I change my connection to Full Chip Simulation I am able to open the mcuregister window and see actual values of the registers.

If this is not working for you, I would recommend you to submit a service request for that.

Make sure to attach a reproducible project and installed product information to the service request.
To generate the required information:
- Start CodeWarrior
- Open the project
- Select "Help" -> "Pack and Go" and follow instructions on the screen.

Attach the generated .zip file to the SR.
