Autonegotiation problem with Marvell bases Switches and M52233DEMO board

I am also having the same problem with a MCF52236 board.

In short the LINK light will not come on.

Anyone seen this?

There's a known bug in the network interface of (older) 5223x silicon which can cause auto negotiation to fail. You may have to set the interface parameters yourself in your software to make the link work.

I just found out that there is an "A" suffix part that has this problem fixed.

Well the new part does fix 10/100MB, but it fails with 1GB switches (tested with LinkSys)

So I may need to do manual switching after all
