Hi,

We have just started working with M52235EVB and we can do nothing because it is impossible to make neither an example project. Each time we try to do it, the following error appears:

Error : Unable to use the plugin "Metrowerks C/C++". It is licensed and a valid license key was not found.
Feature has expired
Feature: Win32_ColdFire_Compiler
Expire date: 31-jul-2006
License path: H:\Archivos de programa\Freescale\CodeWarrior for HC08 -
V5.1\license.dat;H:\Archivos de programa\Freescale\CodeWarrior for -
ColdFire V6.3\license.dat
FLEXlm error: -10,32
For further information, refer to the FLEXlm End User Manual,
available at "www.macrovision.com".

Errors "License server does not support this version of this feature" and "No such feature exists" have ever appeared too. I have read the FAQs related with these error messages but they don`t suggest how to solve them. I have also read that the license for the Special Edition can expire and you have to update it in this case, but I don`t find out any place to do it. Any information will be wellcome.

Thanks in advance!!

Best regards,

Grego

as I promised several days ago, here you are the link for you to download CWv6.3 SE:

http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/overview.jsp?nodeId=01272694014080

I couldn't download the executable from this side but I had to fill in an application and this afternoom people from Freescale has let me downloading the Special Edition and it comes with a correct license! It's supposed that you can download the executable from this site anyway. Hope this helps all who have this problem. Bye!

Hello

Can you try something for me please?

Close your CodeWarrior
Just open the System properties on your host PC
    - go to the desktop
    - Click right on "My Computer" icon
    - Select Property. The "System Properties" dialog is opened.
    - Go to Advanced Tab
    - Click on the "Environment Variables" button.
    - Look for an environment variable LM_LICENSE_FILE
    - Delete it

Start CodeWarrior again.
Are you able to build now?

Hi CrasyCat,

I did what you say yesterday but CW still went to the environment variables and keep on giving me the same error and I don`t know why it could do it! Thank you very much anyway!

I will try to download the Special Edition from a site that technical support of Freescale said me yesterday and I will try to install it again. I will copy the link in a while for those who could have the same problem. Bye!!

Yes, download again. The error message is telling you that the license has expired. Either you got a bad license, or you picked up the tools from another project and the time has run out on the license.

Hello

There might be something else you can do. I know tat some times paths to license files may be stored in the registry.

  - Close CodeWarrior
  - Can you open the registry editor (regedit in a command window).
  - Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> FLEXlm License Manager
  - If there is an entry METROWKS_LICENSE_FILE  (or something starting with METROWKS_,
    remove that entry.
  - Restart CodeWarrior.

Does that help?
