CF Flasher Query

Hi,

I am able to use CF Flasher to program the internal / external flash on the evaluation board M5282EVB ,

Will i be able to use CF flasher to program the MCF5282 internal flash, on a custom development board?

Also, are there any other BDM tools that can be used with the PE BDM cable to program the internal / external flash?

I am using a MCF5329-powered custom board with a 32MB Intel P30 flash device. Can I program the flash using CFFlasher? If yes, please tell me as to how to go ahead with it.

Hi TTA,

The good news is that CFFlasher _IS_ able to program the internal flash on your own target board based on MCF5282.

CFFlasher is a utlity written by Freescale in Austin, and published "as is" to the external web. CFF has a configuration system, so that you should be able to set up any internal/external flash for programming.

CodeWarrior for ColdFire V6.3 ships with a flash programming tool integrated into the IDE. Other, Third Party companies have flash programming utilities for ColdFire as well.
