one option is to use PC-lint, for which there is a plugin (unfortunately not free):

thanks for your reply. The combination of Linticator and PC-Lint looks great. But there is no trial version for PC-Lint and I would like to test it before buying.

I contacted Gimpel already and asked for a trial version. But they don't offer a trial version. You can only test some code in your browser to test PC-Lint.
