CodeWarrior v10.5 includes CodeWarrior Classic Project Importer for CW DSC v8.3 projects, but CW v10.4 does not.

CodeWarrior v10.5 can be downloaded from:

If you would use CW10.4, the solution is user needs to create a new bareboard project in CW10.4 and then add/copy all your source files to the new project.  For a project with PE, user also have to add the PE component manually.

Below is an application not for how to do this:

I spent two hours downloading and installing version 10.5 but I can't find anything in the help system that explains how to import a project from CW 8.3.  Also in CW 8.3 it appears that the Export Project function doesn't generate anything except an xml file with some project settings.  I think I'd need more than that to import into CS 10.5.  What is the procedure for exporting from 8.3 and importing into 10.5 or where do I find this information?

Lance, I import old project to 10.5 directly from 10.5 menu file>import

In the selection window select the CodeWarrior folder and the "CodeWarrior Classic Project".

It worked for me. No special export preparations in 8.3 needed.

What about the PE settings? Shouldn't Freescale provide a easier tool to convert?
