Greetings all,

I am unable to successfully load FSL_USB_Stack in any project in CW 10.3. When I double click the component in the library, it shows up in my project for several seconds. It tries to set itself up then quits with "Error during adding component FSL_USB_Stack".

I am able to load other USB related components into my project and modify them in Component Inspector. I have downloaded the file from the website several times but am thoroughly unable to decipher where to even look for the cause of this problem.

Suggestions are gratefully invited.

Thank you.

Hello,

keep in mind that the FSL_USB_Stack is based on the the Freescale USB Stack 4.0.2, but it is *not* the the same. FSL_USB_Stack is a Processor Expert component/wrapper, while the Freescale USB Stack 4.0.2 is the official Freescale distribution.

As for your problem with the FSL_USB_Stack: The web site steinerberg.com/EmbeddedComponents/FSL_USB_Stack/home.htm lists the RingBufferUInt8 as dependency. So have you installed that component too? Link: RingBufferUInt8

The Freeescale USB Stack 4.0.3 can be downloaded from the 'Download' page on

What USB stack do you mean? USB Stack 4.0.2? There is new revision 4.0.3 available now on the web.

I have downloaded FSL_USB_Stack_1.010_15.11.2012.PEupd

from: steinerberg.com/EmbeddedComponents/FSL_USB_Stack/home.htm

Above it is listed USB Stack 4.0.2. But the link next to it takes me to USB Stack 4.0.3.

Is there a better place to get the FSL_USB_Stack?

I believe I have installed the newer version (USB Stack 4.0.3). FSL_USB_Stack shows up in my components library but when I try to add it to my project, it refuses to cooperate. (It looks at me funny, blows its nose, and then crawls back into its hole in the library and goes back to sleep.) It never makes it over to my project.

I am open to any suggestions, please.

I was trying to follow Erich's tutorial. [Tutorial: USB CDC with the KL25Z Freedom Board | MCU on Eclipse]  Are there other ways to accomplish the same thing?

Thank you.
