code warrior for mpc565

Hi,

I am using MPC566 for one of my project, I have procured MPC566 eval board from freescale.

I am unable to install proper IDE to test the software on Eval board. I have downloaded code warrior V8.7 and want to use it

to develop software for MPC566.

I am using windows 7 OS and my machine is 32 bit, I want to know the procedure for installing code warrior v8.7 in my PC.

Unfortunately CodeWarrior for MPC5xx V8.7 is not working on Win 7. It is a 32-bit application. Please view the note on its webpage:

We recommend using Windows 2000, Windows XP/Vista (32-bit).

These are the official OS supported.

At this time there is no plan for a new version supporting Win 7.

There are two workarounds:

1)- install it on win XP,

- copy installation under win 7,

- install new P&E driver if needed

2) if the above will not work the other solution will be the virtual PC.
