Hello,
a company which we work togehter recommended us to use your CodeWarriror from Freescale. We ordered the "CodeWarrior Development Suite - Basic Edition, Perpetual Model, Node-locked License". Before download we requested the company again concerning the exact version. They told we have to use "CodeWarrior® for Microcontrollers (Classic IDE) - RS08/HC(S)08, ColdFire V1 v6.3". We ordered a Basic Version and download the Classic one. Now we have a problem with the licence-key. What can we do? Must we cancel the order? How does it work?

Hi Markus,
I think there is some concept misunderstanding.
"Classic" is a type of CW IDE. There are two IDE type, "classic" and "eclipse". CW6.3 belongs to classic type. So if you want to download CW6.3, showing "classic" is normal.
"Basic " is a type of CW suite license. There are four license type. "Special", "basic", "standard", "professional".
Only "special" edition is free. but it has 64k code size limitation.

If you already ordered basic license, you should get an asset ID(active code) from the vendor. with the active code, you can download the basic license from your nxp account.
If you didn't get it, please contact the vendor. if you order it online, create a private ticket to nxp support license team for it.

thanks for your reply.
We ordered with order-no: 583912 the DLP-Basic-NL and received the Registration-Code: DLP-BASIC-NL_BSTOQ42051
We downloaded the CW 6.3 and installed it on the computer. After that we generated the license.dat and copied it
to the folder
C:\Program Files\Freescale\CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers V6.3
When we start the program following message appears:
We generated the license-file with the Disk Serial Number: 2452-0A4D and the PC-Name: “Verkauf02”
Maybe we made something wrong?

Hi,
The license install path is correct.
the error message tells CW doesn't recognize the license file.
If your CW IDE doesn't produce any error with the default license (the license included in the install package), the problem may be on your basic license.
Because the license is your private asset, I suggest you create a private ticket to license team for this issue. You may apply an evaluation license for your work before you get your own basic license problem solved.
