Unable to debug using JTAG along with multilink

I am using MPC567XEVBMB + MPC5674ADAT516 + SPC5674FMVY3+ PE micro multilink universal + cw 5.9.0 Eval version. Unable to debug. Getting 'Cannot Enter Background Mode" error message.

However, Trace32 provides more details.

- does the target assert JCOMP while RESET is asserted?
- is the device censored?

Whether Codewarrior and PE multilink are good for powerPC???

Hi,

yes, CodeWarrior and PE can be used for this device.

To double check the MCU is not censored, you can try to configure serial boot mode or external boot mode:

If the device is censored and internal boot mode is selected, the nexus is disabled.

In other modes, there are states when nexus is enabled but flash won't be accessible. You can still see RAM and peripherals. This state can be used for testing.
