The license. dat

I downloaded the license. dat file and put it in the correct file location for CW 10.6, how ever when I open CW it tells me the product license has errors, when I hover over the error it says the license is for CW 10.5, any ideas on how to fix this.

Where did you save the license file? Please place it under \MCU subfolder.

Are you logging on Windows as Administrator, and whether the system time was set on a past date?

If the above does not help, would you please click on <Help> menu-> Freescale Licenses, what is displaying in the sub-window? And select <Details> button on it to view the detailed information.

Please send me a screenshot to show this information.

this license file is a floating one.

It refers to the DLA-BASIC-FL_DEENUB5365 registration.

A floating license requires a PC defined as Server (to manage the License service through Flexlm) and other PC(s) defined as client(s).

Before to use it you must edit the license file and replace "this_host" by the server name.

The server and client can be the same PC.
