I am using CW11.1 for DSC on Win 7. I have successfully (based on window's responses) installed the USB TAP driver from the CW 11.1 installation's subfolder \MCU\ccs\drivers\usb. I rebooted the machine and then created a new DSC project for the 56F83783 processor. From the Connections form after selecting New Bareboard Project, I see the list of possible connections and "Freescale USB TAP" is grayed out. Why can't I select this option? Is it a hardware incompatibility and I have to find another way to JTAG debug or is it a problem with software configuration still?
Thanks!

Hi, Stephen,
For the latest MC56F83xxx, MC56F81xxx and future DSC family, the USBTAP device is NOT supported, user can use the third party device for example Multilink Universal device from PE micro.
Hope it can help you
