CCSPRotocolPlugin: CCS:Invalid Parameter

I am using CodeWarrior 10.6 with a custom board which has DSP MC56F8006. I am experiencinf problems wihen I try falshing a program on it with CW USB TAP. I have tried a few things to troubleshoot this issue but to no avail. Do let me know if someone has faced a similar issue with their boards.

Hi

Would you please first create a new project for MC56F8006 from <File> menu -> New->Bareboard project, can CodeWarrior v10.6 program with this project into your board?
 
If the new bareboard project also does not work, please:
 
1) Check the USBTAP driver, CW10.6 uses different driver with CW8.3. The driver is placed at:
C:\Freescale\CW MCU v10.6\MCU\ccs\drivers\usb\
 
Please follow the instructions in <readme> to install the driver:
C:\Freescale\CW MCU v10.6\MCU\ccs\drivers\usb\readme.txt
 
2) Please also send me a screenshot to show USBTAP in Device Manager and its driver details. Thanks a lot!
 
3) I also need to know the OS of your PC, is it a 32bit, or 64bit OS?
 
4) CW10.6 is too old, please use CW10.7 instead.

CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers-Eclipse IDE|NXP 

then install updates by going to IDE menue "Help" ->Check for Updates.
