I'd recommend you to use FMPLL initialization routine - "FMPLL_init()" from an example project e.g. Example XPC564AKIT PinToggleStationery CW210 in your custom project.

If it does not work could you possibly provide us with more details about the problem. Can you e.g. attach a test project to reporduce the issue on our side?
