We are using the 56F8357 DSP processor and developing with code warrior.

Are there any recommendations for a stand-alone programming station (not requiring a separate code warrior license). Need something suitable for small scale manufacturing test.

TIA

Hi,

There is 2 solutions depending of the interface used.
You can install CW but the Standalone tools don't require license to be used.
The tools are installed under CW:
 - for wiggler interface: \dsc 8.1\ProcessorExpert\Tools\applications\flash_over_jtag
 -for USBTap: \dsc 8.1\M56800x Support\56800E flash programmer

Hope this will help you.

Normally I'd recommend P&E Microcomputer Systems (http://www.pemicro.com), whose products we normally use with our development tools. However, they don't look like they support DSPs, although you could check.

However, Domain Technologies (http://www.domaintec.com/) has offerings that work with Freescale DSPs. I have no experience with their products so I can't vouch for their reliability. If no one else offers a suggestion, I'd Google for Freescale+DSP+Flash+programmer. HTH.
