Hi,

For a new project I want to use the MCF52211, however I cannot select it as a target CPU in the Coldfire Processor settings panel (CW 6.3). Does anyone know how to add a new processortype?

Thanx,

Rob

First, have you installed the latest service pack/updates for your version of CodeWarrior? Those can be obtained from this page.

Hello

You cannot just add support for a new MCU like that.

In order for CodeWarrior MCU V6.3 to support a new MCU, you need to install a so called service pack for that MCU.

Available service packs can be downloaded from following URL:

    http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/overview.jsp?nodeId=01272600617882

As far as I can tell there is no service pack for MCF52211 that can be installed on top of V6.3.

So in order to get support for that MCU you need to upgrade to the latest release of CodeWarrior.

OK, thanks.

I already have installed the latest upgrades for version 6.3 so I gather I have to update to the latest verion (7.1??)

Where can I download the upgrade?

Will it work with my current license file?

You can download the free but limited Special Edition version of CodeWarrior from here and see if that solves your problem first.

I just did. In the latest version the MCF52211 is supported, so this solves my problem. But how about the license, for CW6.3 we have a professional license, we'll need this for CW7.2 as well, can it be converted?

Thanx,

Rob
