Com port not getting detected in TWRMPC5125

Hi all,

 i am using mpc5125 evaluation kit and code warrior 9.2 evaluation version. when i connect the USB cable for the Serial- to -USB bridge to my pc, the  

HC9S08JMXX CDC (COM 11) communication port will not be displayed in the device manager.

it gets detected as USB-UART in other devices under device manager. should i install any device driver to resolve this? or will this com port gets detected only in the lisenced version ?

It sounds like a driver issue. Normally, CodeWarrior does not block debugging due to a license problem.

Hi Tom,

               i am using windows xp and the com port did not get detected.. i tried in windows 7 platform also.. its the same problem.. could you please send me the link for that driver so that i can install it..

I am able to debug and download the program using J-TAG.. now i am trying to load the program to nand flash and i am having this issue.

I am not able to do the 5th and 6th step mentioned in the MPC512MQXTTRL pdf...

I do not have such a driver. I was just saying that the PC is not recognizing the adapter as having a serial port. Whoever made the adapter should have provided driver software that handles the translation from USB to serial.

      i installed Freescale_CDC.inf  device driver . Now the COM port is getting detected..
