Code Warrior 10 - failed connection to P&E USB Multilink Interface rev C

I have installed the Code Warrior 10 on Windows 7 (32 bit). I have attached the P&E USB Multilink Interface Rev C to my PC and to the taget (an MC9S08SV16).

I have a program in C that compiles and builds without errors.

When I try to program the flash I get the message:

Beginning Operation...

____________________

Initializing remote connection...

Performing target initialization...

Error:   Connect Failed.

Can't connect. The Debugger can not connect to the P&E device (HC GDI Protocol Adapter)

Error:  command failed

Please, if anyone knows the remedy, please inform me.

The P&E USB Multilink Interface is about 2 years old.

Sorry everybody,

It was not a problem between Codewarrior and the BDM Multilink. It was an error on the target board.

In case anyone has a software add-on to CodeWarrior to troubleshoot the PC <-> BDM Multilink <-> target such that one can isolate the element with problems, please let me know.

I consider the case closed.
