CW 6.3 on WinXP 32 bit issues !!

Hi

I bought a XL_Star sample kit from element14. Installed the supplied copy of CW as per instructions, installed without any errors. Launching the program gives me " The exception unknown software (0xc000000d) occurred in the application at loacation 0x00edf841"

Any help would be apprecaiated

Do you have administrator rights on the PC you are installing on to? The CodeWarrior install requires that you do.

Just in case the CD you have has been mis-copied I suggest downloading and installing Special Edition CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers V6.3 (Classic Windows Hosted) from the Freescale link below -

You will also need to apply the CW MCU v6.3 MM128/JE128 Service Pack MM128 patch available at -

and finally the Processor Expert update -
