Oh dear no response. I've had another look, its 68 pin type looks to be running at 12 mhz. Pins seem to be same as 68HC11 txd, rxd, xtal pins are the same. no-one?
I'll have to put a 4mhz xtal in there and try something.
This component does not follow the normal nomenclature for 8-bit MCUs. It is possible that it may be a proprietry device manufactured for a specific customer. It is also quite possible that the device may not be re-programmable.
Thanks for then input Mac, its in a cars ecu, so the eeprom should be programmable/erasable. my software works mainly on 4 & 8 mhz clocks, so I'll try a crystal change.
