Hi,

I am using PROG08SZ software and ICS08 dev. board to program GP32CPE chips.
After passing all the security bits successfully and choosing the .08P file as 908_GP32_highspeed.08P, the following words appears:"Error writing block data to part.Disabling block write". Then the PROG08SZ software is too slow to reply any action that I click the mouse, so I have to use ctrl+alt+del and then kill this procedure.

Meantime, I use this software+hardware to program 908JL16 and LJ24 chips, everything is OK.

In CW5.1 for HC08 the same problem and indication appears.

Please help me, I do not know where is mistake.

snapshot of the error massege is attacked here below.

Thanks a lot.

Hi FOLSOT,

Did you get this comment verbatim from Freescale?

I believe this is comments made by John Hartman of NoICE.

Hi, all

I have to thank you all for any help.

To Ablan, I am sorry about this thing too, but it's up to the decison of my boss and I can't force him to change his determination. In fact I love freescale's chips and I still use them personally, but of course not GP32, this never works for me and I fell my head hot when touching is now, hehe.
BTW, your chinese is pretty good and I hope I can invite you to have a cup of chinese tea someday in China:smileytongue:.

To Peg, I am using real com port, definitely! I am not talking problems of USB-COM convertors. Up to now never worked well with GP32+mon08.

To Maraja, I tried your instruction and failed, maybe you are using a pcmia card and I don't have one that.

To Alegna, I will try that you suggust. Thanks a lot.

To Mark, your replies are always late and bad. The same to your service. The only thing I can do is never considering any PE products, as I did now.
SO SORRY FOR YOUR POOR Service.

To FOLSOT, I also read the issue from noice website. USB convertors with PL2303 chips are not working with the SW+laptop. I have a convertor HP OEM convertor with FDTI chip and works fine for all 08s except for GP32.

Hi kitoff,

I have been using the high speed version for GP32 version 1.03 .08p file (as you seem to be) for a long time now and never had any trouble whatsoever (with hundreds of devices).
Have you tried the non-high speed version? Perhaps your hardware does not handle the high speed one properly.

Hi,

I had the same problem when try program using a BBL PCMCIA Card adapter for RS232. After changes many parameters I found the one that make load algorithm successfully done.

Maybe the FIFO receiver parameter should by 1 for other adapters and hard RS232 too. To found where's the parameter try see hardware guide's or on Manage device on Ruindows®. In my case deactive FIFO isn't enough, first I need to set receiver with "1".

Best regards,
Marajá

Hi,

All of my computers have "real" serial ports and I always just use the default FIFO setting of 14 on recieve and 16 on transmit without any issues.
I have tested two converters and found that they did not work with MON08 adapters but never got to the bottom of it as I don't have to....... yet. Field service notebook PC needs replacing soon. Two problems here, have they a serial port and all the good deals come with Vista!
