need help: can CASM08Z.EXE generate .s19 for HCS08

  I used CASM08Z.EXE generate .s19 HC08. But my question now, is it possible to use the same method for HCS08? Is the .s19 format same for both HC08 and HCS08?

Hello Sany,

The CASM08Z assembler will handle all instructions common to both the HC08 and HCS08 devices.  However, it does not assemble instructions that are unique to the HCS08.  A CASM assembler to handle the HCS08 would need to be purchased from P&E - it is not a free download.

The S19 format should be the same for both types of device.

Ty for reply, but I still can't make my AW mcu working >.<. Was wondering if casm08.exe was the cause.
