how to get dry battery remain capacity ？ - MC1321x

Dear all:

   I'm using MC1321x with a 3V button battery or 1.5V alkaline battery(dry battery) for supplying power.
   I want to know if HCS08 MCU can get battery voltage? like as lithium battery ,mainly for monitoring the battery state,such as battery low alarm.

Hello Charly,

Assuming the battery is directly connected to the MCU, there is a low voltage warning (LVW) facility, in addition to the LVD reset.  The state of Vdd relative to the threshold voltage is flagged, and this can be polled.

With the low range is selected, the nominal threshold will be 2.1 volts for a falling voltage.  This would seem suitable for a single Lithium cell, or a pair of alkaline cells, to indicate a low battery condition.
