ZStar3 data rate/sampling frequency

Dear Freescale Zstar team,

I am very interested in the Zstar3 Demo Board. The only thing stopping me from ordering it is the available sampling rates. Therefore I would like to ask if it is possible to raise the sampling frequency at least to 500 MHz.

Hello ,

 sorry but not at this version, because communication protocol (as is current version) doesn't count with higher datarate than 120Hz. Also used sensor are internally limited to cca 300Hz - so 500 Hz is needless know.

The 120Hz limitation was set as a compromise beetween speed and number of sensors.

It could be possible some future update that allows glue two rf time slots to one bigger and make datarate higher.
