Well this will depends, of which library you are using, and which operation mode you configure, for stop 2 is not possible, for wait and stop 3 if you configure KBI measurement method, available in TSS 2.0, probably you could wake up the MCU, other way to make this is waking up the MCU with a timer interrupt and call the TTS Task function to check the electrode status.
