I am using a GT16A micro and I was wondering if the serial communication protocol can be changed. Normally we have
Start bit + 8/9 bits + stop bit
Is it possible to have
8/9 bits + stop bit ?
If yes how can I do that ?
No, it is not possible to eliminate the start-bit.
Without a start-bit, how would you know when a transfer has started?
I thought of that too but I am using an Xbee which runs a different protocol. Apparently it only has a the transfer bits + parity + Stop bit. this is a bit bizarre. but I will look into it further.
