Dear,

I'm trying to find out through broker of microcontroller MC68HC908QY4CDT. Broker sent me a component image

MC68HC908QY4CDT.png

where it is marked "MCQY4CDT5NFL".

May I suppose this is right component?

Best Regards,

Dear Itzzamna,

everything You wrote is clear from our point of view. Question is related to our product is not anymore produced but We have to produce spare parts. This is the reason why We are looking for components by different official channel.

We are keeping attention to validate components get by broker. My question is if the code is a real code or fake?

Best regards,

Unfortunately, we cannot confirm the authenticity of any piece only by the marking code and it is more complicated if they come from a broker as we cannot trace the information. This is one of the reasons that we do not recommend purchasing parts from brokers.

Anyway, this marking in the image matches the official format, however, it is very easy that this format could be a copy.

An apology for the inconvenience this may cause.

Hello there!

First of all, please have in mind that we do NOT recommend to purchase NXP parts with brokers since we cannot ensure the authenticity of the products and most of the cases those are damaged/fake parts. Being said that, to purchase any NXP product, please check our authorized distributors network in the next link:

https://www.nxp.com/support/sample-and-buy/distributor-network:DISTRIBUTORS

Now, regarding your inquiry, as you can see in the next link, this MCU MC68HC908QY4CDT is no longer manufactured a long time ago, which is another reason that the broker is probably selling damaged/fake parts. https://www.nxp.com/search?keyword=MC68HC908QY4CDT&start=0

Therefore, I do suggest to migrate to a newer MCU that is fully active in our 8-bit MCUs catalog. Please, check the S08PB family here: https://www.nxp.com/products/processors-and-microcontrollers/additional-mpu-mcus-architectures/8-bit...

Thanks for your understanding!
