After reset perspective in the debug window,
I can no longer select the start address for the memory display
in the memory window at the top right.
Can you help me?

Please try to open the old project from codewarrior but using your new workspace, if the project still does not show the memory option, then my recommendation is create a new project and copy all the file from your old project to the new one

Regards

Yes, that's the best.
To the left of the window with the memory locations and their contents, I had the option of entering different
starting addresses for looking at the memory. This happened in a small window.
Best regards

I am not sure if you want to add memory monitor?

please do a clean on your project, and compile it again

the other option is that you add a new memory view

I'm sorry, the error has not been eliminated.
Clicking on "New memory" gives the same memory window as before.
Maybe a more detailed description of the situation will allow us
to fix the error:
- In my Memory Debug window, I'm missing the small "Monitor Memory" window as shown in your picture (see below) or with some projects no memory window appears at all.
- The CW debug function works otherwise without errors.
- Thes errors occur in all projects. (see Startfenster 2.jpg)
- A long time before that, the system worked without errors. The cause could be a crash, the switching off the PC without shutting down.

Now i saw - maybe a solution:
The basis, the mother of all my projects comes from "HS08 Example Projects".
Now this project is missing from the folder. (Image "HCS08 Examples.jpg".There was a line under "mc9s08qg4" before.

Maybe you can send me this example project - mc9s08qg8 - and fix the error with it.

I'm worried that I'll have to go back a long way to fix the error that my carelessness caused.

With best regards

Gerd

Dear Vicente,

I unzipped the file you sent and pasted it into the CW demos gap. It was possible to import the obtained mc9s08qg8_demo from the CW Examples normally. The debug function is normal, but this time there was no display of the memory table at all. The window is empty, white.

The problem seems to be a brain teaser. I want to write down the facts, maybe that will help.
0.
All my assembler projects are derived from mc9s08qg8_demo and they worked fine until recently.
1. The virgin new demo project does not show proper normal display of memory
2.
There are two types of projects. The debug function works normally for all of them.
3.
The "better" project group displays the memory contents normally, but does not  allow entering a start address. These are older projects.
4. The "bad" project group does not show the memory content at all.

What should I do?

With best regards

Gerd

Dear Vicente,
Yes, that's what I feared. This means I need to re-download CodeWarrior for MCU Version: 11.1.

But I'm a little afraid of it. Is there a little guide for this? I have to delete the existing CW 11.1, how?
My PC has Windows 11 Home, 64 bit.

no, first try to create a new folder for a new workspace, when you launch codewarrior you need to create a new folder

Dear Vicente,
It's done. The memory display and the possibility to enter memory start addresses work with the imported mc9s08qg8_demo. Now can I import my old projects from the backup folders? Could this be the old problem again?

Best wishes from Gerd, who is happy.

Accept as solution and kudos follow.
