Hello everybody,

 

I'm looking for some description of the MC1322x USB dongle pre installed sniffer firmware (or for the source code of it).

I'd like to communicate with the device through virtual COM and I need to know what are the commands available.

Does anybody know where to find such a documentation?

It works with WireShark to capture packets.

 

Install WireShark and the WireShark ZigBee Utility.  You launch the utility from a command-prompt, passing in the COM port of the USB Dongle and the ZigBee channel you want to sniff.

 

Then you go into Wireshark and paste "\\.\pipe\wireshark" into the Interface field of teh Capture Options dialog.  Wireshark will then start displaying and decoding captured packets.
