Is it necessary to register CodeWarrior Special Edition

I download CodeWarrior Special edition for HC(S)08 /ColdfireV1 Version 6.2. This a free software but the software is requesting to Register. I don't understand what I should do.

The special edition licenses do not require registration.   They are active upon installation. 

Have you placed the license.dat file in the directory where you installed the software?

I am able to access the software which is working well. But it's time limited: only one month.

I am not sure to understand your comment but I give the same directory for the installation and 

the license.dat file . Is that correct?

We've had a glitch where people are getting the Evaluation Edition of the CodeWarrior software when they download the Special Edition. The Evaluation edition is similar to the Special Edition, except that it's fully featured for one month. Once the trial period ends, it becomes the Special Edition, with its code size limits. See FAQ-28561 for a little more detail. And no, you don't have to register the software, unless you want to purchase the full features after the temporary license expires.
