Extra byte for SCi: on MC13213

Hi,

I observed on one of our MC13213 boards that the SCI outputs one extra byte(0x00) whenever I shut off the transmitter,by clearing the TE bit from 1 to 0, after transmitting all the data.

Surprisingly, the same behaviour is not seen in other evaluation boards which also use the same chip MC13213.

This I observed straight on the micro TXD1 pin to isolate other circuit related scenarios.

Is it any chipset related issue ? or anybody has come across this kind?
