9s08pa16 programming

Hello

Have started a project with the 9s08pa16 device.

My problem is that I have been unable to program the flash memory.

Previously have used P & E Micro proghcs08 ver 1.3 (win7) with a usb

multilink usb-ml-12 rev. b.

Now the s8p file for the -pa part seems to need an updated version of

proghcs08.

Is this upgrade free or do you have to pay again ? It's not clear on the

P & E web site.  Is there any other free software to program the -pa parts ?

Freescale used to provide free programming software for all 8-bit micros.

Any comments would be most helpful.

P&E has a generous software upgrade policy and anyone who needs to upgrade their software to support new devices should contact P&E's technical support through phone or by their support ticket system to figure out the best way to upgrade their software.

Hi Jeremy,

I had the same. PROGHCS08 requires version 1.77 or later. I am scarred that P&E due to their policy requires to buy completely new software. Anyway I have asked them about any possible update. We will see.
