I have tried to program a QG8 (through an aux bdm 3x2 header) and it didnt work

The question is... Is it possible? Or embedded USB Multilinks are limited to a single chip/family ?
Thank You very much

Hi folks,
this is just to notify that those DLLs solved my problem with the HCS08QE32 in the LQFP package (32 pins).
I am using the USB Multilink to program the chip and CW 6.2, but without those DLLs it was not working (I could not program the micro at all). The strange fact is that I could program the same chip in the QFN-48pins package...
Anyway, thank you for the help!

Hy
Changing limitations of an existing product is very unfair from P&E
I bought 12 demo board QG8 for the school last year.
Had I knew this before ...

Hello
I was just looking for this thread to explain your previous post when the notification for your above post arrived.
I am quite sure the problem you have is as described here.
The fix described here should work also.

Hi
I have been reading the thread and wanted to know if anyone know if it is possible to use the BDM connector on the DEMOQE board to program an external MCF51QE128. I tried installing codewarrior 6.2 and over writing the DLLs as you suggested but I still get the following error:
"The target MCU is not responding. Please turn MCU power off and on, and click ok. This will atempt to enter debug mode througha power on reset sequence (BKGD is currently driven low)"
Any help or insight would be much appreciated.
Bobby

Try replacing the whole bunch of DLLs from here
I have uploaded that ones just for you
Try them on CW 6.3.1 only, v6.3 wont do.
They are 6.3.1 DLLs, not renamed 6.1 DLLS as last time.
You can program any other micro (RS08 only if you provide the VPP) with your DEMOQE
Note: only DEMOQE, not DEMOJM, neither other one.

Hi @carloscuev,
does your new OSBDM work fine on CodeWarrior 10.x?
Could you share the eBay link?
Thanks

CW5.0 has 1.37
CW5.1 has 1.40
CW6.0 has 1.49
CW6.1 has 1.54
CW6.2 has 1.56
In order to replace succesfully the CW6.1 (v1.54) files in CW6.2 they have to be renamed with the original name in CW6.2, that is:
ICD08z_dll_v156.dll
ICDrs08_dll_v112.dll
prog08z_dll_v156.dll
progrs08_dll_v112.dll

With original DLLs I couldnt. With CW6.1 DLLs now i can.

Its running flawlessly !!!

Hello! I'm having the same problem with demoJM.. I wan't to programm a QE MCU...
I have win7 x64... To make older version of codewarriro work over win7 you must copy CodeWarrior from an installed version on win XP. Then set a file to be compatible win XP SP2 and run register it. I've done this with CW6.1 CW6.2 and CW6.3...
Then, as this thread says, I copy and rename the four files to have the same name as the one in each installation. But I still can not load code to QE...
OVER WIN 7 x64
*******************
- With CW6.1 ----> Embedded Multilink cannot be detected by the Connection Manager
- but with both CW6.2 and CW6.3 ---> The Connection Manager detects the Embedded Multilink but cannot load code to the target
So then I tested over win XP
OVER WIN XP x32
********************
- With CW6.1 ----> Work just fine
- but with both CW6.2 and CW6.3 ---> The Connection Manager detects the Embedded Multilink but cannot load code to the target
Something is not rigth here... Why would the DEMO JM board function as a BDM over win XP and not over win 7? Both PC has the latest version of P&E driver...I'd like to add that CW6.1, 6.2 and 6.3 running over win7 are the copy of the installed one on win XP.
One more thing I've just notice. CW6.1 has Connection Manager v1.04.00.01, and the other 2 have the v3.30.00.00 and v3.55.00.00
The problem is that CW6.1 over win 7 cannot detect the DEMO JM Embedded Multilink... It would be enough to make CW6.1 detect this board over win7 to solve my problem
Please any help would be greatly appreciatted!!
Thank you all!!

Good work!
Now all that is needed is a reason why this is so from Freescale/P&E.

Simply put this DLLs:
http://freescale.teknoplex.com/descargas/P&E_DLLs.zip
Inside Here:
C:\Program Files\Freescale\CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers V6.2\prog\P&E\
Be sure to backup original Files !
Enjoy!

Just for reference I searched my computer for prog08*.dll
I have installed:
CW3.1, CW5.0, CW5.1, CW6.0 and the standalone version of the Expert mode programmer that is included within CW.
This DLL appears only to be associated with Codewarrior and not the standalone application.
These are the version numbers:
CW3.1 has 1.26, 1.29, 1.35
CW5.0 has 1.37
CW5.1 has 1.40
CW6.0 has 1.49
The zip file you attached is named 1.54 but inside is 1.56. Where is your mistake?
Perhaps you could fill in the rest of my table above.

Hello all,
The previously attached file seem to have disappeared. (I think there over behind that grassy knoll)
I have attached them here separately this time as Freescale have reduced the max file size.
