Is Android Auto Projection a part of the Android Automotive OS for i.MX Applications Processors?

Hello,

I have a i.MX 8QuadXPlus Multisensory Enablement Kit with installed Android Automotive OS for i.MX Applications Processors on it. The OS was downloaded from the official web page.

I would like to connect a sample Android smartphone to the kit. Unfortunately, I can't do this using either Bluetooth or USB. Android Auto doesn't consider the kit as a car.

Am I right that the Android Automotive OS doesn't have Android Auto Projection? Is it a software that is provided through the Professional Engineering Services?
