iMXRT1064 SNVS (RTC) Supercapacitor usage

Hello,

I am working on a project with iMXRT1064 on custom board.

The SNVS (RTC) input is supplied with a Gold Capacitor 0.22F.

Unfortunately it only lasts about 8 minutes.

IMXRT1064IEC on page 24 the maximum is specified with 0.25mA.

What is the typical average energy consumption of the SNVS (RTC) input if it is only supplied with 3.3V at VDD_SNVS_IN?
Can consumption be reduced?

Hi Johann,

Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products and for the opportunity to serve you.
When VDD_HIGH_IN > VDD_SNVS_IN, VDD_HIGH_IN will supply all the SNVS domain current and the current flows into VDD_SNVS_IN to charge the coin cell battery.
