iMXRT1052 eMMC 5.0 interface

Does the iMXRT1052 chipset support or have compatibility with the eMMC 5.0 and 5.1 standard for embedded flash storage (eMMC)?

Technically the RT1052 does support eMMC 5.0 and 5.1, but only because of the fact that these standards are backward compatible. As stated on the following knowledge base article: https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-Processors-Knowledge-Base/EMMC-5-0-and-EMMC-5-1-work-on-i-MX6/ta-p...

"The EMMC 4.5 or EMMC 5.0 /5.1 is backward-compatible with eMMC4.4, we can use it in eMMC4.4 mode to enable eMMC4.4 functionality and performance" "Booting from a eMMC 4.5 device or high version is not supported, boot ROM will fall back to the eMMC4.4 standard when a eMMC4.5 or high version capable device is detected."

This was written in the context of a i.MX6 platform, but is also applicable to the i.MX RT family.
