wifi not suspending?

Hi Guys,

               I'm trying to stop streaming over wifi by passing this command,

echo "mem" > /sys/power/state

Console is not working but wifi still working, same thing i did with ethernet instead of wifi at that time streaming is stopped. 

Can anyone tell how to stop wifi by passing above command.

I'm working on i.MX6Q sabresd platform.

one can add codes for controlling wifi, for example power off module using gpio,

low power driver is described in attached Linux Manual Chapter 21

Low-level Power Management (PM) Driver.
