serial NOR boot utility

Hi,

We are using MIMXRT1051CVL5B on our board.

succeed in connecting to the boot utility through the LPSPI NOR/EEPROM (BOOT_MODE[1:0]= x01 serial downloader).

Tried connecting to the boot utility through the FLEXSPI NOR (secondary pins, see picture 2) after burning the fuses and defining BOOT_MODE[1:0]= x00 boot from fuses, but got the error in picture 1.

our fuse burning is described in picture 3.

our QSPI routing to the NXP pins is described in picture 4.

Device type: tried QuadSPI SDR NOR and QuadSPI DDR NOR.

our flash part number: IS25LP080D-JNLE-TR 

What can be the problem?

   Please give me some background at first.

  1. You want to set the primary boot from the FLEXSPI NOR secondary pins, right?

   2. The LPSPI NOR/EEPROM you mentioned, you want to set it as the recovery boot?

  Now, your primary boot connect to the QSPI is failed with the fuse set, right?

  Do you also try the situation which is not burning the fuse, whether that method the secondary pin QSPI flash is connected or not? How do you set the boot device configuration for the secondary pin? The option need to do the correct configuration, please also give me the related picture.

I checked your fuse, you already burn the BT_FUSE_SEL, whether your EEPROM have the bootable app or not? If yes, and you also do the related configuration, the chip may boot from your eeprom directly, as your primary is failed.
