Is it just drop in replacement and configure registered or is there any HW change to run @ 1Ghz?

The P/N we used is MCIMX6U1AVM08ACR.
refer to the data sheet as below， pls find the Table 1 and Figure 1, the part number you use is limited up to 800Mhz

what i.mx6 part number do you use? differenct part number stands for different frequency.
